On the Road Again Adventures
On Sunday January 21, 2024 , On The Road Adventures moved teens forward on the Metrolink I Will Ride - Foothill Gold Line from the Monrovia station to downtown Los Angeles where they witnessed the L.A. Clippers go head to head with the Brooklyn Nets. Participants learned how to purchase Tap Cards, navigate their way on the MetroLink to the Pico Metro Rail Station, and then over to the Crypto.com arena.
Teaching kids to use public transportation offers various benefits, including:
• Learning independence and responsibility
• Financial savvy
• Environmental awareness
• Community engagement
• Reduces traffic and congestion
• Promoting physical activity
• Enhanced time management skills
• Preparing for college and work life
Promotes a sustainable future
The Metrolink Excursion was more than a day at a basketball game; it was an opportunity for kids to learn, grow, and create lasting connections. On The Road Adventures empowers young minds, teaching them valuable life skills and inspiring a love for both adventure and community.
Set For Life would like to thank our chaperones and participants for making this an unforgettable experience.
