Volunteer Description

Make 2011 Matter! We encourage you to make a commitment to Set for Life. SET for LIFE is a federally recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which is totally run by committee volunteers. We need you professional skills and talents to help our grassroots nonprofit organization. Although, we serve the San Gabriel Valley, our focus is on the communities of Monrovia and Duarte. If you are looking for a way to truly give back locally, why not offer up the skills you already posses?

We are looking for seasoned professionals and volunteers to add to our growing network of pro bono consultants. We generally have a need for volunteers with expertise in any of the following areas:

  • General Project Managers
  • Project managers will help develop and manage new creative programs and activities for seniors 50+.
  • Strategic Planning
  • Work with Board of Directors to develop specific goals for SET for LIFE and identify partnerships to help achieve those goals.
  • Social Media Updates
  • Help keep organizations various social media sites current by blogging about the agencies current activities.
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Help organization reach the highest level in search engines no cost methods.
  • Marketing Assistant
  • Under the direction of the Marketing Products manager, help develop fliers, posters, banners and brand strategy.
  • Training Programs Development
  • Help develop education and training programs based on the needs and wants of the communities served by SET for LIFE.
  • In-Kind Solicitations
  • Help seek "in-kind" contributions from businesses and corporations for distribution to seniors during expo's and training workshops.
  • Fundraisers
  • Help raise funds by soliciting financial contributions which will help continue the mission.
  • Event planners
  • Help plan and manage the details or various fundraisers and special events.
  • Photographer
  • Using your own photography tools, capture the people and activities at various events for publication on social media sites and marketing materials.
  • Website Maintenance Assistant
  • Under the direction of the Social Media/Website developer, assist in making regular updates to the organizations website.
  • Volunteer Recruitment Assistant
  • Assist in recruiting volunteers to help during various fundraisers and special events
  • Videographer
  • Help to videotape the people and activities at various events for distribution on YouTube. Previous experience filming and/or editing is a plus.
